With the weather warming across the country, Mother Nature seems to be telling us that spring and the warmer weather is right around the corner. When the snow disappears though, it is time to put the Carhartt coats, jackets, and sweatshirts into the back of the closet, and bring the Carhartt t-shirts closer to the front. Maybe you are sick of wearing out the cheaper t-shirts and wanting ones that will last more than a half-dozen washes, Carhartt this spring has an answer for you.
For the spring of 2010, Carhartt has taken their short-sleeve shirts and changed a few things but mostly improved the line to meet more peoples needs. They kept the heavy, 6.75 oz pocket t-shirt and Henley, but have also added a new lightweight pocket t-shirt weighing in at 4.7 ounces. This new t-shirt (K284) will be identical to the K87 but will offer a lighter material to be cooler in the summer. For the hot summer days, your best bet is still the Carhartt Work-Dry shirts. These shirts have technology that will pull the moisture off of you and allows air to flow through the material to cool you off.
The biggest change to Carhartt short-sleeve t-shirts is in the graphic t-shirts. Carhartt has experimented putting their logo on shirts the last few years, but this year they have taking it to a new level. They have created 12 different styles with many shirts coming in two different color combos. They have combined the Carhartt logo with many elements of the work place and industries of the Carhartt apparel users in very creative ways.
Although Carhartt has been around for quite awhile, since 1889, they continue to listen to the consumers and improve the quality of their products. They do not typically lead the fashion industry with their designs but are changing their graphic t-shirts every year to incorporate the “working” elements.
I thought today would be a good day to share some thoughts, using poetry. My first selection is from Rumi, from the book; “Crazy As We Are,” translation by Dr. Nevit O Ergin. The second one is from my 2008 Collection Of Short Sleeves A Book For Friends, which will be available in November 2007. It’s called “Another Me.” The third poem is also from the 2008 collection, “Ancient Boy.”
In love there is no high or low, no bad behavior, no good behavior, no leader, no follower, no devotee, just indifference, tolerance, and giving up. -Rumi
Another Me
Another me living a dream opens a threshold. Lost intentions sleep in doorways. Mystical allies have grand inventions, tapping freely into the icy waters of change. I move in synchronicity with feelings, balls of space become planets of action, powered by the energy within me. Emphatic symbols color themselves as molecules. Reason falls off the edge of science landing in the soup of belief. Memories are future destinies. Destiny sits in infinity. Smiling on the scale of weightlessness, I kiss another me.
Ancient Boy
In the distance I hear my ancient boy calling me. Past voices of freedom sit within me. Vocal groups of energy passing through me in collective thought, pull me towards the center of my being in a surge of light. Aspects of myself unite in full awareness of each other. Joining consciousness floats in rays of love, creating a world of infinite possibilities. In sharing the abundance of unity, I am awakened to an everlasting essence of oneness, that sees itself in all things, and is all things. Click here https://yishuonline.com/
